One useful function among others is the ability to preset different tempo marks and time signature changes! Great app! Keep up the good work Frozen Ape!

Drummer, guitarist, pianist, or anything else, you must work with it ! Very uselful in rehearsal as in gig.
Long ago I was searching luckless for a good metronome app. Having tried out many I found ForzenApe´s Metronome (1). With many features and great stability that was the app I wished. BUT there were several possibilties to improve certain small things. And these resulted in this great successor. Metronome 2 from Forzen Ape is THE ultimate app a musician wants to have. Thank you VERY MUCH!
I have given away my Tama Rhythm Watch and switched to Tempo 2. There are many reasons: - The app provides stable timing and easy conguration of click sounds associated with main counts and subdivisions. - You can save setlists which is very handy to store different click settings (songs, exercises etc.). - The developer of this tool is a real nice guy and very responsive. Throw in new ideas and he will get back to you. - Goodie: by selecting the pro soundset to will listen to Gavin Harrisons preferred clicksounds manufactured by himself... thats really cool. All in all... a sure buy.
For my perspective the usablity for Gigs is Not As good As in The Opfer Version. You can Not See The Song and Number in List. Just to Know was Next during playing. I guess now The Time has come, to introduce a feature like build you OEM mashup screen.
This app is even better than all the metronomes I know!
I use it a lot. Could react a little faster, but still does the job nicely. Cool app!
The gated sound is still not fixed in the last update. Every beat is cut. Please look into this. I am performing live music nearly every week. All band members are wondering about the sound. Believe me, this small bug feels like a big one! Please fix. 17.08.2011 still no update. Wouldnt buy it again. Really bad Sound Bug and no response from the developers. 22.09.2011 Update (Version 1.2.3) gated Soundbug (analog clickset) still not fixed. 25.10.2011 still not fixed, no response to my emails with sound samples explaining the bug. Message on Facebook concerning this bug was deleted without response. Zero support since a couple of months. Trying to get in touch with the developers didnt work, everything until then is ignored.
The app itself is awesome and I think its currently the best metronome on the app store. I can only recommend this to everyone whos trying to do some serious practicing. Feature request * iPad support. This app is great, it deserves better looks * increases / decreases in a set tempo range
very good in use !
Its a "Must have" for all the musicians on this planet ! Thänx Mike :-)
There is no doubt this version is way better than the first one, specially if you are a professional musician. You just need to take 20min of your time to understand all the features. 2 bucks for this metronome is the best deal in the market. Keep the good work frozenape!
Im really enjoying this app - well done! Im just having a problem with my track bpms being switched. Setting them is no problem, but they keep being reversed with each other. Is this a glitch or am I missing a step?!
This is SUCH a great app, I decided to write my first review after buying numerous apps! In a nutshell, this app is so great, it will replace my Tama Rhythm Watch, which costs about $100. Im a drummer in a band that gigs, and I need numerous functions, especially the ability to STORE and easily recall tempos, so I can quickly get the tempo for the next song. This app not only supports programmable memories, but features MULTIPLE set lists. What Ive done is set up a "master set list" in alphabetical order, then for each gig, I can create a separate set list, and COPY the songs and adjust their order. This was a chore with my $100 Rhythm Watch AND that thing only allowed 30 presets. This baby stores 100 songs per setlist! Many other features, such subdivisions, accents, numerous time sigs, bar counter, reference tone (tuner), visual and audio tweaks galore, etc. I researched tons of metronome apps, and this one shines head and shoulders above the rest.
Nothing else comes close. Theres no better metronome in the app store. Ive been using Tempo forever, and this is the best version yet.
Why pay 2$ when you can get a metronome for free? Because this metronome is so much better. Read the help! It only takes 3 minutes and once you figure out the unconventional interface, its actually really easy to use. Things I love about this metronome: *Steady tempo - even when your phone is checking mail or downloading apps *Great interface - takes a minute to learn, but then its super quick to change tempos *Auto tempo increases - practise for a set number of bars and then try it again faster. *Accent notes - place them anywhere in the beat. A great app. Ten years ago I paid $20 for a digital metronome that didnt have half these features.
Agree with everything everyone says about this being an awesome tempo app. Very occasional freezes where it is jut stuck on beat 1 with no sound and I have to restart the phone for it to work again. Glitches like that, while very rare, make it a little sketchy for use in live music settings.
I love this app but hate the Facebook integration. Option to remove this would be nice.
That is all. Set it to 2/4 110bpm and get twice the ticks I want. So in the trash you go.
Controls are hard to figure out and impossible to use. It cant decide whether I want 30 or 230 bpm. Buttons difficult to understand and no tap feature that I could find. My $40 Boss met. outperforms this app.
